Get to know me:
Hello everyone my name is Miles Smith! My family is a owner of a Ford dealership in Southern California and we have tons of cars (mostly Ford's haha). So I am only 17, but have driven about every car in family ranging from our two beautiful Ford GT's through our Ford Raptor or GT500, I daily drive a 2002 V6 Mustang which I bought myself(yes I know a V6 sucks but i couldn't afford anything else). I work at our Ford Dealership and am around Ford's all time so I can answer pretty much any question on a recently new Ford.
The Cars:(well some of them)
My Daily Driver 2002 V6 Mustang:
One of our Ford GT's:
Our 2007 40th Anniversary GT500 signed by Carroll Shelby:
Conclusion:
Well i don't really know how to write up posts like this and i'm sorry that this is really short ill get better i promise! If you have any questions about the cars or me please feel free comment and ask me, and ill give a detailed explanation. We also have many more Ford's so if there's one that you think we might have just ask anyways! Also thank you very much Oppo for having me here im glad that I could have this opportunity to talk to you guys are share my family's vehicles!

Backing up Dwhite here-you won't get much attention at this hour, so you might repost this tomorrow during the day.
I don't really have any questions but I have a 2009 Flex that I absolutely love, so there's that.

Glad to see it you on Oppo! Nice collection. Can't knock the V6 stang. Beats being funded by the parents in my book!

Props to you for using your own income to buy a vehicle within your means and not going along with the utilizing family dealership stigma.
Those GTs are pretty wicked though and that GT 500 i foresee on a Mecum auction block in a couple decades fetching a stupid amount of money.
Welcome aboard.

Also, major props for driving a $5000 Mustang instead of having your parents buy you a new Ford Focus. Like, major props. Take that V6 and own it.

I'm not a Ford guy, but I can easily respect this. I hope all of those cars get the piss beaten out of them once in a while.
I spoke to two very different Ford GT owners. One modified the hell out of it, and said the car has at least 10k miles of track time on it. The other said he drives it to some shows, but knows someone who has one wrapped up in their garage with basically no miles on it.
I for one, would never want to buy a used car that's going to need every bearing and piece of rubber replaced before I can drive the piss out of it myself.
About the V6 'stang though, I want to be honest in saying good for you. Your parents didn't give you the first thing you pointed at and said you wanted. That and there's some pride in buying your own car as well, even at your age. I hope the car lasts you a long time and treats you well. It also gives you a balance of go power without being outside of your abilities. When I was 17, if I had anything more than a 4 banger, I'm sure it would be wrecked. Now that I'm less stupid, I trust myself more with a faster car. It's not always about having a stupid fast V8, there are plenty of times when the little things in life aren't so bad themselves.

Welcome!
I'm a GM guy from a GM family, but I can respect some fast Fords. Especially the GT.
Hey, a V6 Stang is better than a GMC Safari like I've got.

Welcome to Oppo! You've got a hell of a stable there. I'm extremely jealous about the GT's haha
Also, hella props for having your own income and buying your own car. I know a girl whose dad owns a Chevy dealership and her dad gives her a BRAND new/different/top trim level Chevy every year. I respect that you bought your own car.
Ranting aside, welcome!

How in the world does your family have two GT's?? I'm a GM guy, and I'm practically drooling thinking about that. You're a lucky dude.
Also, as GhostZ said, huge props for buying your own car and not letting your parents buy you a car. I have buddies whose parents bought them their first car, while I soldiered on and bought my own. I think you can agree, there's just a certain amount of pride to buying and maintaining your own car.
Anyways, welcome to Oppo!

Hi, Miles. It's great to have another Ford enthusiast and owner on Oppositelock. You have a beautiful Mustang and should be commended for buying it yourself.
Also, as I'm sure others have mentioned, I too am a Ford GT owner:
Truly magnificent machines that I never tire of.
Do you get to drive your family's GTs very often?
